DataCert Continues Global Initiative with European Intellectual Property Electronic Invoicing Seminars

DataCert, Inc., the leading provider of legal and IP spend and
matter management solutions, continues its commitment to Europe´s
legal community with a recent round of on-site seminars in Brussels,
Zurich, Amsterdam and Athens focused on providing information and
updates on electronic invoicing to IP patent and trademark agents.

A growing number of Fortune(R) Global 500 corporations are now
requesting agents and lawyers worldwide to submit bills in an
electronic format. Legal electronic invoicing, although a common
practice in the United States, is especially complex in Europe where
value-added tax regulations require additional verifications and
    approvals.

DataCert has led the industry in providing a series of seminars,
both on-site and on-line, to facilitate law firm and agent
participation in the electronic invoice submission process. These
seminars provide IP agents and attorneys in Europe with information on
how to successfully create and submit invoices for corporate clients´
    review and payment.

"Patent and trademark agents and law firms in Europe face numerous
questions surrounding e-invoicing, including what standard formats to
use and what practices fit their needs. We want to make this process
easier for them," said Domenic Leo, general manager, intellectual
property solutions, DataCert. "Providing our experts to answer
questions and lead discussions in person is absolutely critical to
explain the strategic benefits related to electronic invoicing and the
    need for participation."

Each seminar included discussion on the following topics:

-- Overview - The business purpose and challenges surrounding
    electronic invoice submission

-- Basics - The technology, installation and submission processes

-- Formats - The standard formats for electronic invoices as
approved by the Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard
    (LEDES)

-- Billing codes - The Uniform Task-Based Management System
(UTBMS) standard IP code sets and its role in the billing
    process

-- Best practices - Peer case studies

DataCert will continue its IP initiative through seminars and
presentations in 2008. For more information, please e-mail

than 20 educational, Europe-based events focused on electronic
    invoicing basics and best practices.
