Wall St extends gains; S&P, Nasdaq up 2 pct


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks extended gains on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq rising more than 2 percent.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 197.39 points, or 1.82 percent, at 11,052.04. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 22.51 points, or 2.00 percent, at 1,146.33. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 53.32 points, or 2.27 percent, at 2,398.70.
