Brijot Imaging Systems Announces Contract Award from UK Government for the Supply and Installation of Millimeter Wave Imaging Systems

Brijot Imaging Systems, Inc., an industry leader for passive
millimeter wave object detection and people screening technology,
announced today that it has received a contract for the supply,
installation and maintenance of passive millimeter wave imaging
technology to Her Majesty´s Revenue and Customs (HMRC), a UK
Government Department. In November 2007, the Prime Minister announced
that The UK border agency will be the single primary checkpoint for
both passport control and customs, and will administer screening
measures on points of entry and exit on people and commodities.

Brijot responded to HMRC´s request for a non-invasive technology
that is capable of detecting objects that may be concealed beneath
garments worn by passengers. The commodities include, but are not
limited to illicit drugs and cash. Combining Brijot technology to the
existing presence of HMRC will strengthen security at UK ports and
    airports.

After multiple trials and testing installations, Brijot proved the
technical ability to successfully screen passengers for contraband
traveling short or long haul flights with final destinations into the
UK. The first deployment of the BIS-WDS(R) GEN 2 systems, with both
overt and covert installation capability, will be implemented
Nationally at Ports and Airports and will include training, and five
    years maintenance and support.

Mitchel J. Laskey, president and chief executive officer, stated,
"Brijot is proud and honored to be awarded this important contract.
HMRC provided a challenging set of requirements that helped to assist
us in further developing the functional capabilities of our systems.
We look forward to continuing our relationship with HMRC, and working
together in defining and improving our system capabilities to meet
    their objectives."

John Whyte, Deputy Director of HMRC and chair of the Detection
Technology Board, said, "I welcome this partnership with Brijot.
Looking ahead to the formation of the UK Border Agency this equipment
offers even more opportunity to strengthen the controls at the Border.
Whilst this equipment will detect items of traditional interest to
HMRC such as drugs or cash concealed on the body, with the expanded
remit of the new agency I see its use being extended into many other
areas such as the detection of hidden documents. The testing program
for this equipment was rigorous and it was clear that Brijot listened
and responded to our needs. This approach was most welcome and an
integral part of our decision to purchase Brijot´s Equipment."
