Huber Engineered Materials Announces Price Increase for Its Health and Nutrition Unit´s Calcium Nutritional Products

Huber Engineered Materials (HEM), part of J.M. Huber Corporation,
today announced a price increase for its Health and Nutrition business
unit´s calcium nutritional product portfolio. These products include
HuberCal(R) calcium carbonate powder, calcium carbonate granulations,
oyster shell powder and oyster shell granulations.

The increases will go into effect starting on Jan. 1, 2008, or as
current contracts allow. Prices will increase up to 12 percent -
dependent upon the product grade and form. Increases in energy, raw
materials costs and rising investments in meeting regulatory
requirements cannot be offset by continuing productivity improvements
and production efficiencies, Huber officials said.

Hubercal(R) is a registered trademark of J.M. Huber Corporation
    for calcium carbonate.
