Ubidyne and Kathrein Team to Develop Revolutionary Integrated Base Station Antennas

Ubidyne, the leader in digital radio technology for the wireless
industry, announced today that the company has signed a joint
development agreement with Kathrein-Werke KG, the world's largest
manufacturer of mobile communications antennas, to jointly develop
active antennas that incorporate Ubidyne's digital, embedded
    micro-radios.

Ubidyne's micro-radios offer the highest level of integration and
radio performance by embedding directly into the housing of Kathrein's
antennas, eliminating the need for remote electrical tilt motors,
large power amplifiers and bulky coaxial feeders. Ubidyne's patent
pending technology enables an all-digital distributed architecture
comprised of unique algorithms and proprietary ASICs allowing for
efficient, standards agnostic wideband transmission and reception.
Ubidyne's micro-radio is the world's first pure digital radio system,
enabling mobile infrastructure equipment vendors worldwide to
significantly improve performance, flexibility and coverage.

"We are pleased to announce our joint development agreement with
Kathrein," commented Ken Hawk, CEO of Ubidyne. "Our combined solution
with Kathrein will provide significant cost savings in network
deployment, ease site acquisition problems and provide performance
    improvements enhancing coverage and capacity."

The companies anticipate the commencement of field trials with
several leading mobile operators and network infrastructure OEMs
within the first half of 2008.
