Entriq and Infront Sports & Media Enable Broadband Delivery of Global Sporting Action
Entriq, the worldwide leader in enabling the broadband delivery of
sporting events, today announced the recent platform implementation
and broadband service launch for Infront Sports & Media AG, one of the
most respected international sports marketing groups, enabling the
company to exploit its existing new media rights more effectively and
securely to a wider and discerning viewing audience.
Through the implementation of the Entriq platform, Infront's
dedicated competence centre for the management and distribution of new
media sports rights - Infront Advanced Media Solutions - is now able
to expose its clients' events in a multitude of nations using a
diverse range of broadband business models such as via pay per view,
subscription or advertising supported for live events and on demand
viewing.
The Entriq service delivers all the necessary geographic,
security, commerce and customer care controls for Infront's secure
content sales. As a result, Infront can now exploit the content rights
it has been granted more comprehensively and reach customers who would
have otherwise been excluded from viewing these prime sporting events.
With fraudulent transactions minimised and consumer support also
provided by Entriq, Infront now has the flexibility to bring premium
sporting action to broadband audiences worldwide. Key events already
featured in the past months include the 2007 IIHF World Championship,
SerieA.tv and the Euroleague Basketball Final Four.
Infront Advanced Media Solutions' Director, Maurizio Barbieri,
commented: "As a result of our work with Entriq, we are now better
positioned to implement high-quality and secure IP exploitation models
for other valued clients, enhancing the coverage of their properties
and providing increased exposure for sponsors. We significantly
strengthened our ability to bring the broadest selection of
action-packed sports competitions to the online consumer worldwide."
Entriq's highly scaleable ASP model ensures speed to market and
low upfront investment costs, thus enabling Infront and other rights
holders to monetise their digital assets quickly and simply.
"Companies such as Infront Sports & Media are becoming ever more
important as viewers turn to their PCs and other broadband connected
devices to watch their favourite sports live and on demand," said
Entriq CEO Jan Steenkamp. "It has been a fantastic opportunity to
create a truly flexible, secure, broadband sport platform for Infront;
one that has and will allow them to distribute many different sports
to fans in many different countries, and which fully realises the
lucrative opportunity that their rights assets represent," added Ingo
Lalla, Director of Sales Central Europe, Entriq Inc.
