Sorin Group Announces the Appointment of Fred Hrkac as President Cardiac Rhythm Management Business Unit



    The Sorin Group (MIL:SRN) announced today that Fred Hrkac has been
    appointed President, Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Business Unit,
    reporting to Andre-Michel Ballester, recently appointed CEO of the
    Sorin Group, the largest European cardiovascular company and world
    leader in medical technologies for cardiac surgery.

    Since 2005, Fred Hrkac has been Vice President, Global Sales and
    Marketing, of the Sorin Group CRM Business Unit.

    Fred Hrkac, a Canadian/ Croatian national brings with him thorough
    international management experience in Sales and Marketing.

    He spent most of his career within Johnson and Johnson in various
    positions in Sales and Marketing. In his last position, he was Vice
    President Worldwide Sales & Marketing for Biosense Webster, a global
    leader in Electrophysiology.

    He has good knowledge of Europe where he has been working for 15
    years living in five different countries, as well as in the USA and
    Canada.

    He was raised in Canada and graduated from Wilfrid Laurier
    University, Waterloo, Ontario (Canada) with a Honors Bachelor Business
    Administration degree.
