Online Recruiting Rebounds from August Dip as Demand Picks Up in Germany, Netherlands and Sweden According to Monster Employment Index Europe

Online job availability rose across Europe in September as the
Monster Employment Index Europe rebounded from a temporary dip in
August. The Index was driven by jumps in demand in Germany, the
Netherlands and Sweden, while demand fell in France and the UK. Among
occupational groups, service workers saw the highest rise in online
opportunities, as a result of higher demand in the hospitality and
tourism sector. The Monster Employment Index Europe is a monthly
analysis of millions of online job opportunities culled from different
    websites across Europe, including Monster.

"Following a dip in August the Index resumed its overall upward
path, suggesting that the fall was just a seasonal dip. The Index has
now risen by 19 percent year-on-year," said Andrea Bertone, Regional
Director, Monster Worldwide Europe. "Online hiring in the
manufacturing sector continued to rise in September, signalling
strength in the European production sector in general and the
all-important German manufacturing industry in particular."
