East Libya rebels push west, say extend control
Rebel soldiers told Reuters their fighters were now in control of the small town of Bin Jawad, about 60 km west of Ras Lanuf. Bin Jawad is about 525 km east of Tripoli. Others said the forces had pushed even further beyond Bin Jawad.
"They're in Harawa, 12 to 15 km after Bin Jawad. We're getting calls from there and people are coming back from there," said Ghraib Anaizi, a civilian who is supporting the rebels.
