''Investor Education Developments in the EU and Around the Globe'' Conference Takes Place in Madrid October 1-2, 2007
More than 100 investor education experts from around the world
will gather October 1-2, 2007 at the first joint investor education
conference of the International Forum for Investor Education (IFIE)
and the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO).
The IFIE/IOSCO conference will take place at the Bolsas y Mercados
Espanoles (BME), Plaza de la Lealtad 1, Madrid, Spain. Major investor
education initiatives around the globe - including the implications of
the November 1st deadline for the EU Markets in Financial Instruments
Directive (MiFID) -- will be highlighted in this major event bringing
together experts from the world's leading regulatory organizations,
stock exchanges, and financial firms.
Events at the conference will be sponsored by the Financial
Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Securities Industry and
Financial Markets Association, The Bond Market Foundation, CSI Global
Education Inc. (formerly Canadian Securities Institute), and the
Bolsas y Mercados Espanoles. The World Federation of Exchanges is the
program advisor for the event.
