Spain's AT4 Wireless Opens Fairfax County Testing Center

AT4 wireless, formerly CETECOM Spain, announced its first United
States location is in Fairfax County.

The Malaga-based supplier of testing solutions for mobile
communications and wireless technologies said its WiMAX
Forum-designated test facility, the first in North America, is being
established on Huntmar Park Drive in the Herndon community and
initially will host 15 employees. The company worked closely with the
Fairfax County Economic Development Authority and the Virginia
Economic Development Partnership. It is the first Spanish technology
company to locate in Fairfax County.

"Adding the first Spanish technology company enhances Fairfax
County's reputation as a leading world marketplace," said Gerald L.
Gordon, Ph.D., president and CEO of the Fairfax County Economic
Development Authority (FCEDA). "We are honored to welcome AT4 wireless
and its advanced telecommunications technology to the community."

AT4 wireless (www.at4wireless.com) was founded in 1991 and has 300
employees in three divisions: AT4 Labs, an independent lab for
wireless telecommunications technologies and products; AT4 Systems for
conformance and interoperability test systems for wireless
technologies; and AT4 Engineering & Solutions, which develops software
    applications.

"To base our WiMAX Forum designated test facility on the East
Coast is important strategically, because a number of interesting
industries are located there," said Luis Fernando Martinez, general
director of AT4 wireless. "With Fairfax County, we found a great place
to launch our U.S. operations. You can reach us from Washington Dulles
International Airport within 10 minutes. Also, we found invaluable
support from Fairfax County in setting up there."

Time magazine this year called Fairfax County "one of the great
economic success stories of our time." Business growth helps Fairfax
County fund programs, such as a top-rated school system, which
contribute to the quality of life of its residents. Fairfax County is
hosting the 2007 National Conference on the Creative Economy
    (www.creativeeconomies.org) on October 24 and 25.

The FCEDA (www.FairfaxCountyEDA.org) promotes Fairfax County as a
business and technology center. More than 360 companies from 37
counties have operations in Fairfax County. The FCEDA maintains
marketing offices in Silicon Valley, Bangalore, Frankfurt, London,
    Seoul and Tel Aviv.
