U.S. sales gain boosts Starbucks' quarterly profit


    CHICAGO (Reuters) - Starbucks Corp, the world's largest coffee chain, reported higher quarterly profit for its fiscal first quarter, driven by strong sales in the United States during the holiday quarter.

    Sales at established cafes were up 8 percent in the United States and 5 percent internationally.
