Volcano Agroscience Ltd. Announces Opening of State-of-the-Art Production Facility in South Africa

Volcano Agroscience Ltd., a joint venture between Arysta
LifeScience South Africa (Pty) Ltd. and Strand Agroscience Investment
Holdings (Pty) Ltd., recently celebrated the opening of a new liquid
formulation plant in Canelands, just north of Durban.

Robert Maingard, chairman, Volcano Agroscience, said the new
liquid formulation facility, which supplies domestic and export
markets, will allow the company to more efficiently provide solutions
to help customers foster business growth.

"This state-of-the-art facility is equipped to supply various
global markets with high-quality products for many years," Maingard
said. "This announcement not only signifies the investments Volcano is
making in advanced technology but also will enable our distribution
partners to bring value to progressive agricultural production."

Volcano is one of the leading suppliers of liquid and suspension
concentrate crop protection products in South Africa.

The plant has received the prestigious ISO 9000 certification. ISO
certification, which requires an independent third-party audit of all
processes and documentation, is an esteemed mark and will assure
customers that the new Volcano plant follows the highest standards for
    its assessments, audits and production.

The company also has received approval to install a new wettable
dry granules production facility at the same location. The company's
new water-soluble granule technology offers farmers a combination of
application convenience and enhanced application safety. A large
percentage of the Volcano water-soluble granules are sold to sugarcane
farmers who appreciate accurate per hectare application, reduced
environmental impact and improved convenience in product storage,
    handling and container disposal.

"Our investment in the Canelands plant will not only strengthen
our ability to help farmers in Africa, but also will enable us to
utilize the distinctive business skills and experiences we're gaining
in South Africa to strengthen our global business," said Eric
Barbedette, head of Europe, Middle East and Africa for Arysta
    Lifescience.

Arysta LifeScience and Strand Investment Holdings entered their
joint venture partnership with Volcano in 2005 to expand both
companies' influence in central and southern Africa.

"Working together, we are able to offer African farmers an array
of products that advance their operations and improve their success,"
said Barbedette. "The new facility will allow us to better serve these
farmers and to accelerate their access to leading technology."
