DIRECT ENERGIE Launches Its Greener and Cheaper Offers for Private Individuals



    Buoyed by its business success with 80,000 companies conquered
    within three years and by the opening of the market it gained from the
    competition authorities on 28 June 2007, the DIRECT ENERGIE Group
    launched its new offers for private individuals on 6 September. The
    offers are extremely economical and consumer-friendly, enabling
    households to improve their purchasing power while at the same time
    helping to protect the environment.

    The company's strategy and positioning is clearly geared towards
    showing private individuals that 'competitiveness' and 'sustainable
    development' are not contradictory aims, beginning with their new logo
    and slogan:

    'You and our planet both benefit'

    The new fixed-price offer combines competitiveness with
    simplicity:

    10% savings on the price of kWh (excluding taxes) compared to
    regulated tariffs for the 'DIRECTE' offer, and 2% savings on the '100%
    PUR JUS' offer (subscription remains unchanged in all cases)

    Furthermore, the offers are combined with policies that enable
    consumers to effectively protect the environment, particularly in the
    following three areas:

    -- To reduce CO2 emissions, for each new customer:

    -- Direct Energie plants one tree (with its partner Planete
    Urgence)

    -- provides compensation for their CO2 emissions* (with its
    partner Climat Mundi)

    -- To help develop renewable energy:

    -- 20% renewable energy delivered systematically to all its
    customers

    -- for the first time, an 'ultra green' offer (100% PUR JUS),
    which is cheaper than the regulated tariff. The ultra
    green offer will be subject to more stringent
    certification labels (EVE).

    -- To help and encourage customers to reduce their electricity
    consumption, each customer:

    -- will receive, free of charge, three low-energy bulbs which
    consume 15W and produce the same amount of light as 75W
    bulbs. Immediate efficiency.

    -- And since the environmental stakes in the energy sector
    warrant radical changes in received ideas, a supplier
    will, for the first time, offer to reduce his price,
    provided his customers consume less instead of more
    energy! In this way, each customer who has lowered his
    consumption by at least 10% will benefit from a further
    reduction of 2% the following year.

    Confident of its high-quality service and sustainable offer,
    DIRECT ENERGIE provides its customers with total freedom:

    -- No entry fees

    -- No long-term commitment

    -- No cancellation fees

    -- And, above all, a commitment to offer customers prices
    that are lower than the regulated tariffs, at least until
    the scheduled date of July 2010.

    With its firm offer, which is economical and consumer-friendly,

    aims and values by the end of 2010.
