Women sue Goldman Sachs alleging discrimination



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Women professionals at Goldman Sachs Group Inc sued the firm on Wednesday, alleging gender discrimination.

    A lawsuit in Manhattan federal court said it was filed on behalf of employees Christina Chen-Oster, Lisa Parisi and Shanna Orlich and seeks class-action status.

    The complaint said Goldman Sachs discriminates against women in performance evaluations, compensation, promotions, business opportunities and professional support.

    Goldman spokesman Ed Canaday declined to comment.

    The case is Christina Chen-Oster et al v Goldman Sachs, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, No. 10-6950.
