Markets open slighter higher on FedEx outlook


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks opened slightly higher on Monday after FedEx Corp raised its earnings outlook as investors also awaited data on new home sales for June.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 7.87 points, or 0.08 percent, at 10,432.49. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 0.23 points, or 0.02 percent, at 1,102.89. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 2.47 points, or 0.11 percent, at 2,271.94.
