Gerhard Lipski First Westerner Appointed to Board of Directors for Zuken Inc

Zuken (TOKYO:6947), the engineering consulting company, has
announced Gerhard Lipski as the first Western member of the company's
corporate board of directors. This appointment is in recognition of
the growing global importance of Zuken's Western market, which under
the leadership of Mr Lipski, has seen revenue rise by a massive 41
percent during the last three years.

Over recent years, Zuken's market share in Europe and America has
taken a sharp increase and the turnover from this geographical region
now represents a significant proportion of the company's total global
revenue, as well as the biggest opportunity for continued growth.

Zuken's Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Jinya Katsube comments,
"Gerhard Lipski offers a wealth of experience and a true connection to
the Western market that, at the highest level, will enable Zuken's
global direction and strategy to further reflect the requirements of
customers in this region. We look forward to what the future holds as
Zuken becomes a truly globally driven organization."

Gerhard Lipski initially joined Zuken in January 1997 as a sales
manager for the central European region. Following his success in this
role, in 2003 he was promoted to become the European General Manager,
and soon after he also became the President and Chief Executive
Officer for Zuken Americas. Going forward, Mr Lipski will assume his
new position on the corporate board and continue in his role as
European General Manager and President and CEO for the Americas.
