ShockWatch and Glacier(R) Computer Sign Global Distribution Agreement
ShockWatch, a leader in developing and manufacturing damage
prevention products, announces its new global distribution agreement
with Glacier(R) Computer, an Amherst, N.H.-based developer of rugged
industrial computer systems. The companies will leverage ShockWatch's
international distribution network to offer Glacier's Everest(TM)
computer product line outside of the U.S.
Everest rugged mobile computers are specially engineered for use
in the warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, construction and oil
drilling industries, where ShockWatch already serves as a market
leader. Everest computers mount easily onto forklifts, fleet vehicles
or fixed locations to make everyday computing tasks easier, more
efficient and more accurate -- even in the harshest environments.
Available with either a 10- or 12-inch display, the compact touch
screen design tolerates extreme temperatures, humidity, dust and
vibration. Numerous configuration options enable powerful, flexible
computing that supports software applications used for inventory
management, data collection and other operations.
"ShockWatch already manufactures and distributes a broad line of
Equipment Monitors that our customers use to capture operational data
on their forklifts," said Jeff Kilpatrick, Vice President of Marketing
at ShockWatch. "The mobile computing capabilities and rugged design of
the Everest line make it a logical addition to our offerings for use
in the same environments. Both the ShockWatch line and Glacier's
Everest line are engineered for direct operator use and provide
managers with the information they need to make smarter decisions as
they supervise operations everyday."
"We are excited about the opportunity to partner with ShockWatch
in this global expansion project," said Ron D'Ambrosio, President of
Glacier. "The ShockWatch international distribution network will allow
us to bring the power and value of the product to a new audience."
