Syniverse Continues to Expand its Data Clearing Reach Throughout Asia Pacific

Syniverse Technologies (NYSE:SVR), a leading provider of
technology and business solutions for the global mobile
telecommunications industry, announced today a multi-year agreement to
provide data clearing services to SmarTone-Vodafone of Hong Kong.

    SmarTone-Vodafone will use Syniverse's ACCESS S&E(R) GSM
Clearinghouse Services as its single point of contact for the exchange
of roamer billing records with mobile operators. ACCESS S&E also
provides access to more than 100 types of business and financial
reports that will allow SmarTone-Vodafone to analyze and manage its
    roaming business more efficiently.

Stephen Chau, Chief Technology Officer, SmarTone-Vodafone, said
one reason his company selected ACCESS S&E is Syniverse's long-time
expertise in the data clearing arena.

"Syniverse's solution is an industry-proven product used
globally," he said. "We made the decision to move our data clearing to
Syniverse's platform to ensure we utilize a best-in-breed solution
that is always compliant with industry standards, allows us to have
seamless exchange of roaming billing records with our roaming partners
and, most importantly, allows us to provide the best possible service
    to our subscribers."

The agreement with SmarTone-Vodafone continues the expansion of
Syniverse's GSM data clearing services presence in Asia. Last fall,
True Move of Thailand became a new GSM clearing customer for Syniverse
in the Asia Pacific region when it switched its data clearing business
    to ACCESS S&E.

Raymond Cheung, Executive Vice President and CEO-Asia Pacific,
Syniverse, said he greatly appreciates the confidence of
SmarTone-Vodafone in selecting Syniverse for its clearing solutions.

"We currently provide GSM and CDMA data clearing services to major
mobile operators throughout the Asia Pacific region that together have
more than 200 million subscribers, including Reliance Communications
Ltd. of India. These Syniverse contracts clearly demonstrate the
continuing traction of our global growth initiatives in the world's
most advanced and fastest growing mobile market," he said.
