Hasbro, Providence talked but status unclear


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Hasbro Inc and Providence Equity Partners have had talks about a buyout of the toymaker, but the current status of discussions is unclear, a source familiar with the matter said on Thursday.

    Hasbro and Providence were not immediately available for comment. The source is anonymous because the discussions are not public.
