ModViz Announces StreamPlay to Enable Autonomous Sharing of 3D Data and Workflow

ModViz, Inc., a leader in graphics virtualization software
solutions, today announced its new graphics streamware products,
    StreamPlay(TM) 1.0 and StreamPlayer(TM) 1.0. These innovative graphics
streamware products unlock 3D data, workflow, and display from the
professional 3D applications with which they were created and enable
peer review, high-fidelity management presentation, decision
archiving, and workflow based training for 3D graphics professionals.

StreamPlay is a 3D recording and editing tool that records the
output stream from a 3D graphics application as a user creates, edits
and interacts with his or her data. StreamPlayer is the client
software of StreamPlay that allows interactive replay of the
StreamPlay files. StreamPlay and StreamPlayer will be unveiled at the
69th European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE)
Conference and Exhibition from June 11-14, 2007 in London, at the HP
    booth (#542).

"StreamPlay is a powerful new technology that captures the work of
3D professionals in an editable and distributable format, converting
their graphics stream into a valuable corporate asset," said Tom
Coull, chief executive officer of ModViz, Inc. "This disruptive
technology creates the ability to present, collaborate, and train
interactively with the complete 3D graphics data at full resolution
and fidelity, which represents a major advancement over traditional 2D
presentation or non-interactive, low resolution video recording." Tom
continued, "With the new StreamPlayer playback client, 3D
professionals can share their data freely across platforms and
organizations, giving them unparalleled freedom to collaborate with
    others."

More than 100,000 companies in industries ranging from oil
exploration to consumer product design, rely on professional 3D
applications for their core business activities. By enabling 3D data
and workflows to be shared independently of these applications,
StreamPlay helps 3D professionals share their knowledge, communicate
their ideas, analyze data and interpret their results faster and more
effectively. Organizations can improve communication in critical
decision reviews, support more effective collaboration and training,
and enhance work knowledge capture. Early customers of StreamPlay
include Chevron, Anadarko, Amerada Hess, CGG-Veritas, Woodside,
    Marathon, Occidental Petroleum, and ConocoPhillips.

"Most professional 3D applications were designed for dedicated
purposes, such as the creation of models and assemblies -- not to
replace the human element involved in interpreting findings or
reviewing workflows," said Jeff Brown, general manager, NVIDIA
Professional Solutions Group. "StreamPlay, coupled with NVIDIA Quadro
professional graphics solutions, deliver high-performance, application
independent playback, enabling organizations to enhance the
productivity and speed of their design, analysis, and interpretation
processes from the constraints of functional specific3D applications."

StreamPlay enables professionals to present highly complex 3D data
and workflow with no application expertise required. The application
captures complete workflow, not just a state of a 3D model, and allows
full interaction while protecting the original 3D data and
    application. Key StreamPlay features include:

-- The ability to record and replay 3D workflow

-- 3D stream editing capabilities such as cut and paste,
bookmark, index, stream concatenation, and the ability to
incorporate other information types such as 2D images, audio
    and video

-- Real time interaction and 3D navigation: pan, zoom, rotate,
pause, stop, set viewpoint and control speed

-- Real time lossless data compression

StreamPlay and StreamPlayer will be commercially available in
July, 2007. Compatible with any OpenGL application, StreamPlay will be
available on Linux. The interactive StreamPlayer client will be made
available free of charge on Linux and Windows.

    About ModViz, Inc

ModViz's software products unlock the critical 3D data, associated
processes and visual display from the domain of the ISV and the 3D
application. We enable autonomous 3D data and workflow sharing without
the ISV's application, extreme performance scaling through complete
virtualization of the underlying 3D graphics system, and flexibility
with where and how the output is displayed. 3D professionals are now
able to share their knowledge, communicate their ideas, analyze and
interpret their data more effectively and faster than ever before. For
