Wall Street lifted by data, euro



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks opened higher on Tuesday after data showed inflation continued to be under control and as the euro rose on strong demand at European debt auctions.

    The Dow Jones industrial average rose 68.10 points, or 0.67 percent, to 10,258.99. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index added 7.65 points, or 0.70 percent, to 1,097.28. The Nasdaq Composite Index put on 15.34 points, or 0.68 percent, to 2,259.30.
