Arithmatica Appoints New CEO

Arithmatica, the silicon math company, today announced the
appointment of Dan Ganousis as CEO. Mr. Ganousis's most recent EDA
position was CEO of AccelChip, an EDA startup that produced the first
synthesis tool of the MATLAB language for automatically mapping DSP
algorithms into FPGAs. AccelChip was acquired by Xilinx in January of
2005. Mr. Ganousis previously held EDA executive management positions
at Innoveda (Viewlogic), VeriBest, and Mentor Graphics. Mr. Ganousis
also joins the board of directors at Arithmatica.

Mr. Ganousis takes the helm at Arithmatica from Dr. Tony Curzon
Price who has led the company since 2004. "Arithmatica has made great
strides over the last few years as it transitioned to an EDA company
from an intellectual property provider", said Dr. Curzon Price.
"Arithmatica's datapath synthesis tools are being used at 25 major
electronics companies such as Toshiba, Qualcomm, AMD/ATI, and Atheros
Communications to produce the industry's most advanced math circuits.
As Arithmatica enters the next phase of its growth in the EDA market,
Mr. Ganousis's IC design and EDA executive management experience made
him an ideal person to lead Arithmatica."

Arithmatica is the first EDA company focused solely on using
advances in silicon math algorithms to lower costs and power and
increase performance for math-intensive ICs, such as those used in 3D
graphics, imaging, multimedia, wireline and wireless communications,
and embedded processing. Its patented technology, available through
its tools and design services, provides differentiated improvement to
    customers' ICs.

"I am honored to accept this leadership position at Arithmatica",
said Mr. Ganousis. "Arithmatica has a combination of assets that will
drive the company to success, including proven datapath synthesis
tools, an outstanding R&D team, excellent support from their
investors, and an exciting, growing market to address."

Dr. Curzon Price will be Executive Director of openDemocracy, a
leading independent website on global current affairs, offering
stimulating, critical analysis, promoting credibility and community
through debate on issues of global importance and linking citizens
    from around the world.
