SiBEAM Expands Executive Leadership in Engineering and Operations

SiBEAM, Inc., a leading innovator of millimeter wave (mmWave)
solutions and developer of high-speed wireless communications
platforms, today announced the appointment of two seasoned leaders to
    its executive team.

Al Scalise recently joined SiBEAM as Vice President of Systems and
Software Engineering with over 22 years of experience
in IC design, system and software development and product management.
In his role, Scalise will focus on developing the systems and software
to bring SiBEAM's wireless solutions to customer applications. As one
of the inventors of HDMI, Scalise brings in experience from Silicon
Image where he was Director of the Design Engineering team developing
HDMI devices for consumer electronics products. Scalise's prior
experience and accomplishments include his role as Principal
Engineer architecting and designing digital video processing ASICs for
DVDO. He also spent ten years at Apple Computer as a Lead Design
Engineer where he was nominated for the prestigious CEO Technical
Award for research and development in recognition of his
groundbreaking work on the Power Macintosh. He has authored nine U.S.
patents and has a B.S. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from
the California State Polytechnic University Pomona.

SiBEAM also added George Palmer to its executive leadership team
as Vice President of Operations. As Vice President of Operations,
Palmer will be responsible for manufacturing, product engineering,
test engineering, quality management, packaging, facilities and IT. He
brings over 30 years of semiconductor operations, development and
product management experience. Most recently, Palmer worked as Vice
President of Operations at PortalPlayer, Inc., which was recently
acquired by NVIDIA and is notable for providing music player chip
controllers for Apple's iPod products. He has held various leadership
positions including Vice President of Operations and Manufacturing at
wireless company Bermai, Inc., and earlier at Quantum3D, Inc., as VP
of Operations and Product Management. Before working with startup
companies, Mr. Palmer worked at National Semiconductor and Fairchild
Semiconductor for 23 years managing operations, development and
marketing for high volume product lines including PC Products,
Ethernet Systems, Digital Video and Microprocessors. Mr. Palmer
received his degree in electrical engineering and computer science
from the University of California, Berkeley.

"As SiBEAM prepares to go to market, the addition of Al Scalise
and George Palmer rounds out our executive team. I anticipate both
will make significant and immediate contributions to the company,"
said John LeMoncheck, SiBEAM President and CEO. "Al Scalise's
experience will help provide our customers with the most innovative
semiconductor systems solutions to revolutionize high-speed wireless
data transmission. George Palmer brings a distinguished background in
semiconductor operations and development with an unsurpassed track
record of proven ability to significantly ramp volume production. Both
executives will be critical in accelerating SiBEAM's growth and
expansion into existing and emerging markets."
