Teradyne Completes Major Test System Upgrade for Belgacom

Teradyne, Inc., (NYSE: TER), a leading provider of broadband test
systems, today announced the completed delivery of its next-generation
line test system to Belgacom. Belgacom awarded the business to
Teradyne in order to upgrade its entire test infrastructure and
accommodate its four million line network. Belgacom granted final
acceptance of the system in March 2007.

The upgrade includes Teradyne's next-generation of Test System
Controllers (TSCs) and its latest 4TEL(R)II expert system software,
plus over one thousand Loop Diagnostic Unit (LDU) 100 test heads.
Teradyne's LDU 100 core measurement head improves fault location and
    enables better dispatch performance.

"Teradyne is proud to have reached this milestone of project
completion. It represents the culmination of a complex upgrade program
of our central computing systems and remote test heads without
interruption to the day-to-day operations of Belgacom's Customer Call
Centers. Jointly, with Belgacom personnel, Teradyne delivered the
project on time and with the latest system modifications enabling
Belgacom to improve their repair process," said Grant Cushny,
    Teradyne's divisional general manager.
