Netezza Appoints Robert J. Dunst, Jr. to Board of Directors



    Netezza Corporation, a leading provider of data warehouse
    appliances, today announced that it has named Robert J. Dunst, Jr. as
    a member of its Board of Directors and a member of the Board's audit
    committee. With more than 25 years of experience in the retail and
    technology industries, Mr. Dunst will provide valuable insight for
    Netezza's retail and overall company strategy.

    Prior to Netezza, Mr. Dunst served as executive vice president of
    supply chain and technology, and chief technology officer, at
    Albertson's, Inc. where he became an advocate for the use of data
    warehousing technology. Before Albertson's, Mr. Dunst was vice
    president of advanced technology and the Internet business group at
    Safeway. Mr. Dunst has also served as a director in the consulting and
    outsourcing unit at IBM. He was an Executive Board Member of the
    Global Commerce Initiative and World Wide Retail Exchange.

    Netezza CEO Jit Saxena and President Jim Baum, on the Board.
