Sonim Technologies and Materna Information & Communications / Vistream Power World's First Standards-Based IP based Push-To-Talk Services in Germany

Sonim Technologies, the leader in Push-To-Talk IMS solutions for
operators and the global provider of high-performance mobile VoIP
applications and devices, today announced that Materna Information &
Communications, a leading telecommunication company, and Materna's
daughter company Vistream, a leading edge Mobile Virtual Network
Enabler (MVNE) in Germany, has selected Sonim's end-to-end solution to
launch the first standard's based Push-To-Talk system. Effective in
mid 2007, Vistream's branded and value-added reseller customers will
have access to Sonim's XP1 mobile "tough phones" as Walkie-Talkies and
can access a high performance Push-to-Talk service.

Sonim hopes to help wireless operators around the world replicate
Nextel's success in the United States by bringing a comprehensive, OMA
standards-based Push-To-Talk system to operators and enterprises in
Germany and Europe. This open approach to integrated mobile VoIP
services utilizing IMS is being embraced by companies and operators
across Europe, most notably by Materna / Vistream, KPN, Telefonica
Moviles and Selectric and Dialect, large value-added resellers in
Germany and Sweden.
