Brightpoint and Sonim Technologies Establish OEM Reseller Agreement

Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL) today announced that its German
subsidiary, Brightpoint GmbH ("Brightpoint") has entered into an OEM
reseller agreement ("Agreement") with Sonim Technologies, Inc.
("Sonim"), a leading provider of ruggedized "tough phone" GSM handsets
and associated push-to-talk services. The Agreement allows Brightpoint
to market, sell and distribute the Sonim "XP1" handset to its customer
base of leading GSM operators throughout Europe, subject to certain
geographical restrictions, as well as to other territories as may be
mutually agreed. Brightpoint and Sonim are currently in the process of
adding Australia and certain other territories to the Agreement and
anticipate making this a global relationship in the future.

The Sonim XP1 is the industry's only IP-52 ruggedized push-to-talk
handset in the market, and is the first PTT phone to be released with
full compatibility with the newly ratified OMA PoC standard for PTT
interoperability. Sonim specifically designed the XP1 for the large
and growing mobile workforce segment of the mobile market, where
employers are increasingly seeking reliable handsets that can
withstand regular use in harsh operating conditions. The XP1's IP-52
certification illustrates that the XP1 is warranted to survive
prolonged exposure to environments featuring various degrees of water,
    dust and vibration.

"We are excited to be able to offer the Sonim XP1 handset to
Brightpoint's installed base of operators, MVNO's and retail
channels," said John van Rensburg, Vice President Western Europe for
Brightpoint. "The XP1 is a truly unique device that addresses the
communications needs of mobile workforces, in a relatively unserved
segment that represents a new market opportunity for Brightpoint and
    our customers."

"Brightpoint's customer relationships make them a very important
distribution channel for the Sonim XP1 and all future models of our
ruggedized handset portfolio," said Bob Plaschke, CEO of Sonim. "We
have been leveraging Brightpoint for distribution and logistics needs
during the last six months and this OEM reseller agreement is a
logical extension of an already fruitful relationship."
