BladeLogic Receives 2007 Data Centres Europe Award for Most Innovative New Data Centre Software Product
BladeLogic, Inc., a leading provider of next-generation data
centre automation software, today announced that the latest version of
its software solutions, BladeLogic Release 7, has won the 2007 Data
Centres Europe Most Innovative New Data Centre Software Product award.
BladeLogic received the award in a special ceremony held on March 22,
2007 in London, as part of the 3rd Annual Data Centres Europe event.
The 2007 Data Centres Europe Awards are the first European-based
awards dedicated to providing a platform to raise awareness of the
importance of data centre management and automation in Europe and to
facilitate an independent reference point for excellence in this
sector. BladeLogic Release 7 received the award due to its innovative
functionality and the value creation it provides to European
enterprises, service providers and government organisations.
"Data centre management is an extremely hot topic as enterprises
throughout Europe try to gain control over their rapidly expanding IT
infrastructures," said Nicola Hayes, vice president at BroadGroup,
organiser of the 2007 Data Centres Europe event. "As the largest
regional gathering of leaders and decision makers in the data centre
management sector, the Data Centres Europe event connects the
enterprise to the data centre, and the awards provide commercially
valuable benchmarks. We are very pleased to name BladeLogic Release 7
the winner of the 2007 Most Innovative New Data Centre Software
Product award due to the breadth and depth of its functionality and
its track record at large IT organisations of improving IT service
quality and reducing operations costs."
BladeLogic Release 7 offers a new data centre management paradigm
by allowing organisations to synchronise all configuration management
activities across disparate IT teams performing different management
actions through BladeLogic's next-generation Synchronous Management
architecture. By enabling the use of dynamic, multi-functional
policies that link specific people and teams to explicit
infrastructure components and the precise management actions they are
authorised to perform, BladeLogic Release 7 ensures provisioning,
configuration management and compliance management actions are not
made in isolation, but in context of the overall needs of the
business. The end result is dramatically improved IT service quality,
reduced operational costs, better compliance to policies and greater
flexibility to respond to an ever-increasing rate of change in the
data centre.
"We have been able to build a large stable of blue-chip European
customers by providing tremendous business value through innovative
technology," said Luca Lazzaron, vice president, EMEA, BladeLogic. "We
are very proud to be recognised by Data Centres Europe as an innovator
and leader in the data centre management sector. On behalf of all the
BladeLogic employees in Europe and around the world, I am very pleased
to accept this prestigious award."
