World Economic Forum Nominates Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum as Young Global Leader for 2007



    Al Fajer Group, the Dubai based conglomerate with diversified
    business ventures which includes a leading construction company,
    property management services, international fairs & exhibitions,
    manufacturing, travel & tourism, general trading & investment &
    development, today announces that its CEO, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum
    Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, has been selected as a Young Global Leader
    2007 by the World Economic Forum (www.weforum.org), a Geneva-based
    independent international organization of world leaders from the
    public, private and non-governmental sectors.

    The prestigious annual event recognized 250 distinguished
    individuals under the age of forty-one for their record of
    accomplishments, their commitment to society and their potential to
    contribute to shaping the future of the world. The candidates were
    evaluated by a selection committee of 34 eminent international media
    leaders led by Her Majesty Queen Rania of the Hashemite Kingdom of
    Jordan.

    The Forum of Young Global Leaders is a unique, multi-stakeholder
    community of the world's most extraordinary young leaders who engage
    in the 2030 Initiative, a project to understand current and future
    trends, risks and opportunities both at global and regional levels,
    formulate a positive vision for the world in 2030 and provide and
    implement strategies to translate this vision into action.

    In 2003, Sheikh Maktoum founded the A1GP, the World Cup of
    Motorsport, a global success which has now entered into its second
    season. Sheikh Maktoum sold the brand and his stake in A1GP in order
    to focus on other international business opportunities through Dubai
    International Holding Company, the investment company which he is the
    Executive Chairman. The World Economic Forum has recognized him for
    his constructive work within governmental and business communities
    across continents and for his potential to contribute to crucial
    international issues.

    Sheikh Maktoum will be participating in the Annual Summit of The
    Forum of Young Global Leaders in Dalian, China from 4 to 6 September
    2007.
