Handful of states wrecked climate talks: Gordon Brown


    LONDON (Reuters) - A handful of countries blocked a binding agreement on a global climate deal in Copenhagen and the talks process needs urgent reform to stop them from doing the same again, British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said on Monday.

    The United Nations talks ended without a legally-binding agreement after rounds of talks in the Danish capital that were "at best flawed, at worst chaotic," Brown added.

    "We will not allow a few countries to hold us back," he told a news conference in London via a videolink from Scotland. He did not name those countries. "What happened at Copenhagen was a flawed decision-making process."
