Mark Horak Named Executive Vice President & General Manager, Worldwide Operations and New Packaged Media, Warner Home Video



    Mark Horak has been named Executive Vice President & General
    Manager, Worldwide Operations and New Packaged Media, Warner Home
    Video, it was announced today by Ron Sanders, President, Warner Home
    Video.

    In this newly created post, Horak will have oversight of Warner
    Home Video's worldwide marketing, sales, supply chain and operations,
    as well as broad responsibility for the teams handling pre-production,
    category management and business and legal affairs. Horak is further
    responsible for adapting and strengthening WHV's global infrastructure
    as the company undertakes new business initiatives. He will also lead
    the company's efforts to promote mainstream adoption of the high
    definition DVD formats.

    "Mark's experience here at Warner Home Video and the extremely
    varied responsibilities that he has managed both domestically and
    internationally make him the perfect choice for the job," said
    Sanders. "Having these functions report through to one executive will
    help us to drive revenue, reduce costs and ensure global best
    practices, all of which are critical in maintaining our
    industry-leading position in the rapidly evolving home entertainment
    arena."

    Horak will work closely with Sanders to maximize the division's
    overall revenue growth, while exploiting cost reduction opportunities
    across WHV's global supply chain.

    Horak most recently served as Executive Vice President and General
    Manager, Asia, Pacific and Latin America, and before that was
    Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Horak joined WHV in
    1995 as Director of Marketing and held numerous executive marketing
    roles, including Senior Vice President, US Marketing. Previously he
    held marketing positions with Dole, RJR Nabisco and StarKist Seafoods.
    He earned a BBA from Loyola Marymount University and received his MBA
    from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
