Intervoice Completes Media Exchange IMS Integration with BEA Systems

Intervoice, Inc. (Nasdaq:INTV) today announced the completed
integration of Media Exchange, a next-generation application and
service creating platform, with BEA WebLogic(R) SIP Server, the
converged Java EE-SIP-IMS application server from BEA Systems,
(Nasdaq:BEAS) a world leader in enterprise and communication
infrastructure software. This integration is designed to lay the
foundation for new IP Multimedia Subsystems (IMS)-based mobile-media
subscriber services and call-center applications that also can
    integrate seamlessly with traditional environments.

This new IMS integration builds on the recent Intervoice and BEA
interoperability testing at Huawei in 2006, and positions both
companies firmly at the forefront of IMS services as well as in
existing telecom intelligent network environments. Intervoice plans to
continue this momentum with customer trials and multi-partner
integrations of Media Exchange, BEA WebLogic SIP Server, and other
    global network equipment providers.

    Intervoice's event-driven and state-oriented service orchestration
and application delivery environment are the keys to the Media
Exchange/BEA WebLogic SIP Server integration. The underlying
technology is a runtime-execution engine based on State Chart
Extensible Markup Language (SCXML), and a service-creation development
environment based on the Eclipse framework. Intervoice is one of the
first companies to have a commercial implementation of SCXML to manage
complex call control, service orchestration, and application delivery,
all of which allow for a high degree of extensibility, rapid
    application development, and service creation.

"The successful integration of BEA WebLogic SIP Server with
Intervoice Media Exchange adds to the growing ecosystem of innovative
IMS services available to the BEA WebLogic Communications Platform
product family," explained Mike McHugh, vice president and general
manager, BEA WebLogic Communications Platform, BEA Systems. "BEA and
Intervoice are delivering a joint solution which is designed to enable
operators to create new converged multimedia services very rapidly and
    cost-effectively."

"We are pleased to be partnering with BEA to deliver next
generation IMS solutions," said George Platt, senior vice president of
global channels, Intervoice. "Now we can extend our voice, video and
multi-modal solutions across both traditional and IMS networks."

During the 3GSM World Conference February 12-15, Intervoice is
joining BEA on the BEA Stand in Hall 1 B22 and in the Intervoice Rooms
    (4.7, Hall 4, Level 7, HS20).
