House passes Obama-backed climate bill


    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. House of Representatives on Friday passed legislation to drastically reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases blamed for global warming.

    President Barack Obama backs the bill but its future in the Senate is uncertain this year.
