GoFish and Omni Film Distribution Strike Strategic Content and Advertising Partnership
GoFish Corporation (OTCBB:GOFH), the leading publicly-traded
online video company where millions of people come to upload, share,
and watch videos, and Omni Film Distribution, today announced a
strategic content and advertising partnership to distribute Omni's
film library through GoFish.com. The deal allows GoFish users access
to most of Omni's vast library of over 1,300 feature-length and short
films, spanning all genres and including many award-winning titles.
As part of the agreement, GoFish and Omni will share revenue from
advertising sponsorships of Omni's films. This partnership marks the
first time that Omni has extended its reach beyond traditional
broadcast and cable media to an online video network. The strategic
partnership represents a unique opportunity for the GoFish community
to access Omni's slate of films, which includes titles with nominee
and award designations for the Emmy(R), Oscar(R), Cannes and Sundance
Film Festivals, among others.
"We're very excited to be venturing into the online video space
with GoFish as our strategic distribution partner," said Linda Cavato,
president of Omni Film Distribution. "Today's agreement allows us to
offer our selection of entertainment programming to a significant
audience, one that is consuming increasing amounts of video content
through the Web."
"We're thrilled that Omni has decided to partner with us as we
build out our network of content and advertising partners," said
Michael Downing, founder and CEO of GoFish. "This relationship
demonstrates that GoFish has become a magnet for content owners and
creators that are looking for ways to access the rapidly growing
community of consumers who are regularly viewing video online. The
ability to make content available on demand through GoFish paves the
way for content owners to generate entirely new revenue streams from
the content they own and produce."
