FSA Presents 2006 Awards



    FSA, the voice of the global fabless business model, announces the
    winners for its 2006 awards, presented at the 2006 FSA Awards Dinner
    Celebration on Thursday, December 7, 2006 in Santa Clara, Calif.

    Members of the semiconductor industry selected the Most Respected
    Private, Public, and Emerging Public Fabless Company Award winners by
    identifying the companies they most respect in terms of product,
    vision and future opportunity. This year's public company winner is
    NVIDIA Corporation; the emerging public company winner is Atheros
    Communications, Inc. and the private company winner is Cavium
    Networks.

    FSA and financial analysts evaluated the health of public fabless
    semiconductor companies by comparing a number of financial indices to
    determine the winner of this year's Best Financially Managed Company
    Award, MediaTek Inc.

    Companies that doubled either revenue or net income over eight
    consecutive quarters ending June 2006 are eligible to receive the
    award for Outstanding Financial Performance by Public and Private
    Fabless Companies. Public company winners include Broadcom
    Corporation, CSR, Vimicro International Corporation and Wolfson
    Microelectronics. Private company winners are Apexone
    Microelectronics, Inphi Corporation, Impinj and Wintegra.

    FSA's Venture Capital Advisory Board selected the Fabless Start-Up
    to Watch Award winner by identifying the company that has demonstrated
    the potential to positively change its market or the semiconductor
    industry in general through the innovative use of or a new application
    for semiconductor technology. The 2006 winner is Akros Silicon, Inc.

    Mark Edelstone of Morgan Stanley announced his Favorite Fabless
    Picks winner, based on historical and projected data, as Atheros
    Communications, Inc.

    The Dr. Morris Chang Exemplary Leadership Award recognizes
    individuals for their exceptional contributions to drive the
    development, innovation, growth and long-term opportunities for the
    fabless semiconductor industry. The 2006 award was presented to Kamran
    Elahian, chairman and co-founder of Global Catalyst Partners.
