Kenneth Parks Joins Brilliant Technologies as COO

Brilliant Technologies Corporation (OTCBB:BLLN) today announced
that Kenneth R. Parks has joined the company as Chief Operating
Officer. Parks makes the move to Brilliant from EMI Music, where he
had been serving as Senior Vice President, Strategy & Business
    Development, on a global basis.

Parks comes to Brilliant at a pivotal point in its history. The
company is gearing up to launch the world's first legal ad-supported
peer-to-peer music service, Qtrax, which will provide fans with free
access to high-quality, high-fidelity digital music files. Qtrax will
also provide users with an array of allied services, including options
to subscribe to an "all you can eat" premium version of the free
service and to purchase individual tracks, albums and related
products. Brilliant has already signed licensing deals with the major
labels and music publishers (including EMI Music, Warner Music Group,
Sony/ATV Publishing and Universal Publishing) and independents
(including TVT, The Orchard and V2).

"Ken is an exceptionally talented individual whose broad range of
skills and experience is a remarkable fit with our business. Ken's
leadership will be a key driver for the success of Qtrax and the long
term growth of Brilliant," said Allan Klepfisz, Brilliant President &
CEO. "His years of experience as a deal maker and attorney in the
Internet and high-tech space include helping shape some of the
Internet's earliest advertising-supported content syndication deals.
That perspective, along with his deep background in intellectual
property-based transactions and litigation, will be invaluable in
maximizing the revenue potential of Qtrax and Brilliant's extensive
portfolio of other intellectual property assets. In addition, his
formal training as an electrical engineer and early career in device
design give him a technical understanding of our products that is
quite unusual to find in this industry. Ken's resume is really our
ultimate wish list. I came to respect Ken's ability to see afar when
we worked together on the EMI Music/Qtrax content licensing agreement.
Given his background and skills, it is very pleasing that Ken has
recognized the potential of our business."

Parks commented: "I am delighted to be joining Brilliant in this
moment of extraordinary change and opportunity in the music industry.
With the explosive growth in online advertising, the potential
advertising revenue attached to music is clearly tremendous. Qtrax
stands at the cutting edge of this new business model and I firmly
believe that ad-supported music will not only be a boon for Brilliant,
but also for the industry as a whole. It is to the music industry's
credit that they are embracing Qtrax as a new distribution vehicle
that responds to the needs of users while respecting the rights
holders. My time at EMI was immensely rewarding and I look forward to
working with my former colleagues there and others in the music
industry to launch this important new model for the distribution of
    music."

As Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, for
EMI Music, Parks acted as the company's chief commercial negotiator on
strategic deals with the major digital music services, in addition to
managing EMI's digital business affairs on a global basis. Parks
joined EMI as Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs, in which
capacity he was responsible for creating the templates for digitally
exploiting the company's recorded music catalogue. Prior to EMI, he
served as General Counsel for GetMusic LLC, a global new media and
e-commerce start-up backed by Universal Music Group and Bertelsmann
whose properties included GetMusic.com and Rollingstone.com. Before
that, Parks was Chief Technology Counsel at Reuters, a pioneer of the
ad-supported online content model. Prior to Reuters, he practiced
intellectual property law with Weil, Gotshal & Manges in New York.
Parks began his career as a semiconductor development engineer at AT&T
    Microelectronics.

Parks obtained his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in
1992, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University in
1989, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College in
    1985.
