Newton Peripherals Chooses ModusLink as Global Partner for End-to-End Supply Chain Services

ModusLink Corporation, a subsidiary of CMGI, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMGI)
and leading provider of global supply chain management solutions,
today announced that Newton Peripherals LLC, the company behind the
ground-breaking MoGo Mouse(TM), has selected ModusLink as its global
supply chain services provider. ModusLink will deliver a wide range of
supply chain management services, including both forward and reverse
logistics, to support growing worldwide demand for the company's
acclaimed new product, the MoGo MouseBT, a popular business-card
sized, Bluetooth-enabled mouse that is creating a major buzz with
    consumers.

The consumer electronics market has its own distinctive set of
supply chain challenges given its unique customer demands, retail
fulfillment requirements and global market complexities. ModusLink
will be working closely with Newton Peripherals to manage these
challenges and provide greater efficiency, speed-to-market, and
customer satisfaction in both the United States and European markets.

"Given our rapid growth worldwide, it was important for us to
choose a partner with global reach and strong capabilities in the
consumer market," said Matthew Westover, Newton Peripherals' CEO and
President. "Our innovative technology has sparked considerable
interest in the U.S. and abroad and ModusLink has the global footprint
and scalable operating infrastructure needed to accommodate this
growing demand. ModusLink's efficient supply chain processes and
solutions can grow with us, while ensuring that we maintain the high
level of service our customers have come to expect. By partnering with
ModusLink, we can respond more quickly to global market dynamics and
sustain our competitive edge in the market."

"We are pleased that Newton Peripherals has chosen to leverage
ModusLink's expertise and solutions to meet their supply chain needs,"
said Joseph C. Lawler, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
of CMGI. "In today's fiercely competitive consumer electronics market,
a streamlined supply chain is a key differentiator for companies
driving both profitability and customer loyalty. It's an exciting time
for Newton Peripherals and we look forward to helping the company
achieve the highest levels of supply chain optimization, while
ensuring that products get into the hands of consumers around the
    world, quickly and cost-efficiently."

As part of the contract, ModusLink will provide the following
services: Call Center Support, including after sales service and
technical support; Returns Management Authorization issuance; Reverse
Logistics; Testing and Repair. Additionally, given the complexities of
supply chain management in the European market, ModusLink will also
    provide additional services in this market, including Sourcing;
Kitting and Assembly; Retail Distribution, VAT Management; and
Customer Support in more than five different languages. These services
are part of an integrated end-to-end solution, which includes proven
technology, tools and processes, designed to drive the highest levels
of supply chain efficiency and provide the end-customer with the best
    possible buying experience.

This release contains forward-looking statements, which address a
variety of subjects including, for example, the expected benefits of
the business relationship between ModusLink and Newton Peripherals.
The following important factors and uncertainties, among others, could
cause actual results to differ materially from those described in
these forward-looking statements: ModusLink is not designated as this
client's sole supplier of the services referenced in this press
release; ModusLink frequently sells to its supply chain management
clients, including the client referenced in this press release, on a
purchase order basis and therefore its sales are subject to demand
variability; ModusLink's success depends on its ability to execute on
its business strategy and the continued and increased demand for and
market acceptance of its products and services; ModusLink may not be
able to expand its operations in accordance with its business
strategy; ModusLink may experience difficulties integrating
technologies, operations and personnel in accordance with its business
strategy; ModusLink derives a significant portion of its revenue from
a small number of customers and the loss of any of those customers
would significantly damage its financial condition and results of
operations; increased competition and technological changes in the
markets in which ModusLink competes; and risks associated with
international operations. ModusLink represents a significant
percentage of CMGI's operations and the occurrence of any of the
foregoing factors may have an adverse effect on CMGI's results of
operations and financial results. For a detailed discussion of
cautionary statements that may affect CMGI's future results of
operations and financial results, please refer to CMGI's filings with
the Securities and Exchange Commission, including CMGI's most recent
