THE BRESLIN: Here's What They're Serving At Wall Street's Favorite Lunch Spot
Enter The Breslin, a stylized version of English pub fair that has all of New York talking about succulent lamb burgers and roast pig dinner extravaganzas. Executive chef April Bloomfield has constructed a menu of seemingly simple items that would still satisfy the most fastidious of food critics.
As for the ambiance, it doesn't hurt that the restaurant is connected to the Ace Hotel's lounge — a chic but relaxing room that has become one of the hottest late night spots in the city.
Naturally all that richness attracts high flying clientele, and Wall Streeters are no exception. Not to say that this restaurant is out of reach for anyone else. The Breslin has a 'no reservations' policy (except for the pig dinners, of course), so anyone can find themselves waiting and waiting for a chance to try this food.
Honestly, though, it's completely worth the wait.
This is the chef's table. It's in the center of the dining room and is reserved for huge parties that do The Breslin's special whole roast pig dinner. There are multiple seatings every night but getting a reservation is tough.
There's a window in the dining room that gives restaurant guests a view of the hustle and bustle in the kitchen. It's really cool to see all the action.
Now to start, you might want to order the chicken liver parfait with Madeira jelly. It's incredibly rich and smooth.
