Oil spills into Black Sea after pipeline leak


    MOSCOW (Reuters) - A leak on a major Russian oil pipeline caused an oil spill in the Black Sea near the Russian port of Tuapse, first deputy port captain Sergei Proskurin told Reuters.

    He said the size of the spill was unclear and emergencies services were working on establishing temporary floating barriers in the sea to contain the spill.

    He said that work was complicated by a sea storm.
