Dell raises fiscal year operating income outlook

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Dell Inc reported revenue that was slightly lower than Wall Street expectations but the No. 2 PC maker raised its outlook for operating income for fiscal 2012.

DELL (DELL.NQ)said revenue in its fiscal first quarter ended April 30 rose to $15 billion from $14.87 billion a year ago, but it was lower than the average analyst estimate of $15.4 billion according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
