Wall Street rises on oil, some earnings weigh



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose on Tuesday as oil prices lifted energy shares and investors were upbeat about the overall profits recovery, even as some high-profile results fell short of lofty expectations.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 25.62 points, or 0.23 percent, at 11,117.67. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 9.68 points, or 0.81 percent, at 1,207.20. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 20.20 points, or 0.81 percent, at 2,500.31.
