Wall Street opens down on Google, banks


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks fell at the open on Friday after earnings from Google failed to meet heightened expectations as GE and Bank of America also reported quarterly results.

    The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 14.06 points, or 0.13 percent, to 11,130.51. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 3.46 points, or 0.29 percent, to 1,208.21. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 9.58 points, or 0.38 percent, to 2,506.11.
