Wall Street lifted by Deere, housing starts



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks rose on Wednesday, boosted by strong results from farm equipment maker Deere & Co , while data showed housing starts rebounded more strongly than expected.

    * The Dow Jones industrial average rose 26.45 points, or 0.26 percent, to 10,295.26. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 4.08 points, or 0.37 percent, to 1,098.95. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 8.12 points, or 0.37 percent, to 2,222.31.
