Wall St closes at '09 highs on profit hope


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose on Monday, sending all three major indexes to their highest closes in more than a year, as investor sentiment got a boost from another batch of surprisingly strong corporate profits.

    * The Dow Jones industrial average shot up 96.28 points, or 0.96 percent, to 10,092.19. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index jumped 10.23 points, or 0.94 percent, to 1,097.91. The Nasdaq Composite Index advanced 19.52 points, or 0.91 percent, to 2,176.32.
