Wall Street opens lower as results weigh


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks fell at the open on Friday, with the Dow industrials falling more than 1 percent, after disappointing quarterly results from blue-chips General Electric Co and Bank of America Corp .

    The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 103.91 points, or 1.03 percent, to 9,959.03. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 9.33 points, or 0.85 percent, to 1,087.23. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 14.13 points, or 0.65 percent, to 2,159.16.
