Wall Street turns negative on fiscal outlook worry



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks turned negative on Friday as worries about the fiscal outlook of the United States persisted, with U.S. Treasuries and other dollar-denominated assets also lower.

    The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 22.69 points, or 0.27 percent, to 8,269.44. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 3.91 points, or 0.44 percent, to 884.42. The Nasdaq Composite Index shed 8.60 points, or 0.51 percent, to 1,686.65.
