Wall Street extends losses on news bad bank delay



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks hit a session low on Friday, led lower by the financial sector after CNBC reported that the government may put on hold a proposal to set up a "bad bank" that would take over toxic assets.

    The Dow Jones industrial average stumbled 132.46 points, or 1.63 percent, to 8,016.55. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 16.53 points, or 1.96 percent, to 828.61. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 23.46 points, or 1.56 percent, to 1,484.38.
