Wall St gains as healthcare bill passes

NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose on Monday, building on last week's strength, as the passage of a bill overhauling the healthcare system ended much of the uncertainty about the issue for investors.

The Dow Jones industrial average rose 43.76 points, or 0.41 percent, to end at 10,785.74, according to the latest available figures. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 5.90 points, or 0.51 percent, to 1,165.80. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 20.99 points, or 0.88 percent, to 2,395.40.
