Wall St slides, Nasdaq hits fresh 6-year low

* In a choppy session, the Dow Jones industrial average fell 95.58 points, or 1.44 percent, to 6,531.36. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index lost 9.04 points, or 1.32 percent, to 674.34. The Nasdaq Composite Index dropped 25.82 points, or 2.00 percent, to 1,268.03.
